Job summary

Knox Company in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure purchased materials, components, and outsourced processes meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements within our ISO 9001:2015 quality system. You will work with suppliers to qualify sources, resolve nonconformances, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in regulated industries.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC in a supplier-facing role.
• Experience with sheet metal, stamping, die casting, adhesive bonding, and coating/finishing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supplier quality requirements and control plans.
• Lead PPAP submissions and approvals per IATF 16949 or AS9100.
• Conduct on-site supplier audits and process assessments.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action (8D, 5-Why, fishbone).
• Review and approve supplier FMEAs and test plans.
• Issue and track SCARs through closure.
• Support new supplier qualifications and capability studies.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive improvement.
