Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co. is seeking a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to lead QA tasks for externally sourced products, ensuring compliance with engineering and regulatory requirements. You will report to the Supplier Quality Manager, Large Structures, with travel 40-50% and a remote US-based location.

You will develop supplier surveillance plans, manage complex QA processes, and mentor engineers, contributing to safe, compliant nuclear projects across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to explain QA procedures to internal personnel, subcontractors, suppliers and licensees.
• Demonstrated ability to use structured, analytical questioning to assess risks and prioritize work.
• Commitment to personal, industrial, and nuclear safety.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier evaluations for nuclear-grade products.
• Oversee manufacturing, implementation, and analysis of complex products, processes, and systems.
• Lead in resolution of complex problems and provide SME expertise.
• Develop and execute supplier surveillance plans to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Capture and implement effective QA plans and documentation.
