Job summary

ŌURA is seeking a Senior Supplier Manufacturing Quality Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area hybrid role. You will bridge manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain to enable NPI builds and mass production for wearable devices, ensuring quality through DFx, process controls, and supplier development.

You will lead audits, build readiness, and data-driven risk analysis while collaborating across design, manufacturing, and operations. A strong background in DFx and statistics is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in supplier manufacturing or quality engineering roles.
• Experience with final assembly factories and electronics suppliers.
• Experience in high-volume wearables/consumer products with cosmetic standards.
• Experience qualifying and auditing processes including CNC/lathe, injection molding, coatings.
• Knowledge of GRR, SPC, FA/CA, 8D, FMEA, and DOEs.
• Understanding of DFM, SOP, GD&T, Six Sigma, and LEAN.

Responsibilities

• Support NPI through development builds, ramp-up, mass production and expansion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives.
• Develop and implement scalable manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Lead build readiness reviews focusing on equipment readiness and process qualification.
• Identify and communicate design and process risks using data-driven approaches.
• Analyze data to establish component spec limits and process controls.
• Scale up suppliers and processes to meet production goals (UPH, CPK, capacity).
• Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement.
