Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA is seeking an Experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Pittsburgh location. You will support the quality team in design and manufacture of highly engineered products for the US Navy nuclear propulsion program, implementing the quality assurance program to ensure product standards.

Role requires travel ~25% and a BS in Engineering with 4+ years in manufacturing. Eligible for DoD security clearances and willing to work on site in Cheswick, PA.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related technical or sciences degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• US citizenship required; ability to obtain DoD security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead in translating customer or regulatory requirements into supplier instructions.
• Develop supplier oversight activities to ensure requirements are met.
• Present analysis of supplier performance data and trends.
• Lead root cause analysis efforts and drive corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement within the quality management system.
• Identify and resolve potential project or supplier quality issues.
• Review, evaluate, and respond to customer and supplier correspondence.
• Provide technical support to Inspectors, Project teams and Sourcing.
• Mentor less senior Supplier Quality Engineers.
• Perform external, internal, process and supplier audits.
