Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Troy, MI is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality from sourcing through production, working with cross-functional teams and suppliers to meet quality requirements and drive timely resolution of issues.

You will lead PPAP approvals, supplier audits, ECR/SCAR processes, and quarterly reviews, with up to 75% travel. A Bachelor's in engineering or related field and 5+ years in SQ or automotive is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or Automotive industry.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, and root cause methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Technical Review meetings with suppliers and cross-functional teams prior to awarding new parts or issuing purchase orders.
• Support suppliers and internal teams from award through PPAP approval, ensuring progress and readiness.
• Lead PPAP process with suppliers, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with quality requirements; issue PSW approvals.
• Monitor SCARs and follow up with plant teams and suppliers to ensure progress and timely resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date supplier certifications (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA) ensuring validity.
• Act as a liaison between plant and suppliers, driving root cause analysis and resolution of complex quality issues.
