Job summary

Motherson’s Newark, California plant is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to lead supplier quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.

The role requires strong knowledge of IATF 16949, CSR, APQP/PPAP, and problem-solving tools; you will partner with manufacturing, engineering and purchasing to elevate quality, delivery and cost performance. Competitive salary and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with automotive supplier quality experience.
• Knowledge of IATF16949, CSR, APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience conducting supplier/process/product audits and corrective actions.
• Ability to manage supplier performance via scorecards and escalation.
• Familiarity with GD&T and measurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality improvements to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Drive APQP/PPAP approvals and supplier readiness for launches.
• Conduct supplier audits and support corrective actions.
• Manage supplier quality issues including 8D and SCAR processes.
• Analyze supplier metrics and drive quality, delivery, cost objectives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and purchasing to reduce risk.
• Oversee incoming inspection and non-conforming material control.
• Support IATF 16949, CSR, and Motherson standards compliance.
