Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer I to ensure quality for procured parts and services at Rocket Lab Optical Systems in Chantilly, VA. You’ll translate complex requirements into clear supplier specs and drive continuous quality improvements while balancing customer and supplier priorities.

With 5+ years in aerospace quality, you’ll perform supplier audits, develop CAPA actions, and lead root-cause investigations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a quality engineer in defense or aerospace.
• Experience with regulatory standards such as AS9100, IS09001, ISO13485, IATF 16949.

Responsibilities

• Establish supplier quality systems and processes to drive the business forward.
• Generate metrics and tools to enhance visibility of supplier performance.
• Continuous improvement of purchased product quality.
• Perform on-site and remote supplier audits.
• Create internal and external quality control plans and standards.
