Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Fort Walton Beach, FL seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier evaluation, corrective actions, and AS9100 compliance. You’ll analyze data, coordinate failures, and ensure detailed documentation for high‑quality aerospace components.

The role requires 5+ years in supplier quality or related fields, a Eng degree, Minitab experience, and familiarity with IPC610/J-STD001. US data access and ITAR considerations apply as noted in eligibility statements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supplier quality, quality, reliability, or component engineering in electronics/automotive manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience with statistical tools such as Minitab is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with IPC610 and J-STD001 in hybrid manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive effective evaluation of new suppliers during product development to ensure high quality.
• Coordinate product and component failure analysis.
• Drive corrective action, inspection of program hardware to IPC610/J-STD001 and document supplier quality improvements.
• Work with supplier base on material issues to drive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Analyze and resolve customer complaints and field reliability issues.
• Manage in-house audits and corrective action programs to support AS9100 certification.
• Apply SPC methods to analyze data and evaluate process changes.
• Lead CSI and GSI inspections and provide required documentation to customers.
• Ensure proper documentation via NCMRs before hardware moves forward.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering in FARs to ensure proper corrective action and documentation.
• Ensure all hardware and documentation comply with approved drawings and designs.
• Lead or assist in completing FARs as required per AS9102.
• Drive Material Review Board meetings where applicable.
