Job summary

Schindler Group in Hanover, PA seeks a Supervisor of Supplier Development and Industrialization. You will manage supplier development, industrialization, and related validation for components used in elevators and escalators.

Lead a US-based technical team and coordinate with internal functions and external suppliers to ensure on-time, quality delivery. You will drive cost improvements, implement QA processes, and support new product introductions while aligning with customer requirements and

• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Experience in cross-functional project management and change management.
• Knowledge of supplier development, manufacturing, and industrialization processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the strategic and tactical Supplier Industrialization goals and transfer of design knowledge to suppliers.
• Lead new product development support with PFMEA, PPAP, and SPC management.
• Oversee Supplier Approval (SA) and Production Readiness Review (PRR) for internal and external suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions for delays and quality.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives through VA/VE with suppliers.
• Lead the Industrialization Master Project Schedule at the supplier.
• Develop and empower the SDI team to achieve performance goals.
• Establish development plans and conduct performance reviews.
• Create in-house training and skill assessments for the team.
• Guide supplier component development and validation strategies.
