Job summary

Moog Military Aircraft LLC in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Supplier Development Engineer to lead supplier maturity, readiness, and risk reduction for new product introductions and work transfers. This onsite role supports cross-functional teams with stakeholders across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has a manufacturing engineering or supply chain background, 7+ years of experience, APQP expertise, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (manufacturing, supply chain, or related technical discipline)
7+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or supply chain
Experience in supplier development, APQP, and manufacturing readiness
Ability to assess process maturity, capability evidence, and supplier risk
Strong project-management discipline with action tracking

Responsibilities

Lead supplier development plans and readiness assessments for new product introductions and work transfers
Drive supplier capability, capacity, readiness, and risk assessments for assigned suppliers or programs
Build and track supplier development plans with owners, milestones, and closure evidence
Coordinate inputs from program, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality to address maturity gaps
Maintain visibility of open NPI supplier risks and ensure timely closure and dashboards
