Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Bagdad, AZ, is seeking a Senior Supervisor Mill Operations to lead a shift team in a 24/7 processing environment. You will supervise, coordinate and optimize safe, efficient production through subordinate Supervisors, aligning with the production plan and maintenance input.

Candidates should have a strong supervisory background in mining, knowledge of budgeting, and excellent communication skills. The role offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 7 years of related operational experience or a Bachelor's with 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions about equipment, materials, methods and procedures.
• Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Additional certifications or licensure may be required.
• Preferred milling experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.
• Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.
• Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations.
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained.
• Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales.
• Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required.

Description

Under general supervision, supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience
• Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects
• Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Previous Milling experience

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$97,500 - $138,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
