Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Bagdad, Arizona, is seeking a Senior Supervisor Mill Maintenance to lead a shift and oversee the safe, efficient operation of an assigned work unit.

You will supervise, coordinate and drive the execution of the production plan through subordinate Supervisors. Responsibilities include coordinating with Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales, ensuring procedures are followed, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 7+ years of operational supervisory experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a mining-related field with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Additional certifications or licensure may be required.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.
• Ensure production shifts continue by executing the production plan and schedules.
• Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operating procedures and compliance with federal and state laws.
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are met.
• Coordinate daily with Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental and Sales.
• Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Will Do

Under general supervision, supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.

• Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules
• Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning
• Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained
• Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales
• Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors
• Perform other duties as required

What You Bring To Freeport

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience
• Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects
• Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$97,500 - $138,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
