Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar and ongoing good standing.
• At least four years of full-time legal experience after admission.
• Eighteen months in supervision of other attorneys, in an admin/managerial/executive role.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for ACP attorneys representing clients in misdemeanor, felony, and homicide matters in NYC courts.
• Monitor panel case activity to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with state and city agencies and stakeholders.
• Evaluate ACP attorney needs and identify necessary resources.
• Assist with database management.
• Coordinate with ACP Supervising Attorney for Training to provide CLEs.
• Participate in attorney recertification process.
• Investigate and respond to complaints against attorneys.
• Contribute to improving case management and vouchering systems.
• Assist in developing reports and responding to data requests.
• Collaborate with staff to measure panel attorney compliance with standards.
