The New York State Unified Court System seeks a Supervising Court Attorney for the New York State Court of Claims in Albany, NY. This role oversees the Court’s Legal Department and will supervise staff, coordinate the ADR program, and provide high‑level legal guidance to judges.

Applicants must be admitted to the New York State Bar with at least 3 years as an Associate Court Attorney, or 8 years of relevant post‑admission experience.

Formación

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• Three (3) years of service in the Associate Court Attorney title; or eight (8) years of relevant legal experience after admission.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the Court’s ADR program.
• Assist in managing ASA (Adult Survivor Act) claims.
• Research and analyze complex legal issues; develop policies and draft confidential opinions for Court of Claims Judges.
• Serve as a legal resource for Clerk’s Office staff in intake, pleadings, motions, decisions, appeals, and pro se matters.
• Perform other assignments as directed by the Presiding Judge and Chief Clerk.
