Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation is seeking a Lead Superintendent to oversee field execution on a ground-up healthcare / complex commercial project valued at about $200 million. You will lead a senior site team, coordinating civil, structural, MEP, and interior scopes to ensure safety, quality, and on-time turnover.

The role requires extensive experience with large, technically demanding projects, excellent scheduling, and clear communication with owners and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive superintendent experience with a general contractor or construction manager.
• Demonstrated success leading large ground-up healthcare or similarly complex commercial projects.
• Experience on projects approaching or exceeding $200 million strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage a large site team and coordinate multiple subcontractors through all phases of construction.
• Strong understanding of complex MEP systems, construction sequencing, quality control, and project closeout.
• Healthcare experience involving clinical spaces, specialized building systems, and healthcare-specific inspections is highly valued.
• Strong scheduling, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations and coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Develop and manage site logistics, construction sequencing, milestone schedules, and short-term look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate civil, structural, envelope, MEP, and interior scopes to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Establish clear expectations for jobsite safety, quality, housekeeping, and subcontractor performance.
• Partner with project management on procurement priorities, scope coordination, schedule recovery, and change impacts.
• Identify constructability issues early and coordinate solutions with design teams and trade partners.
• Manage inspections, testing, commissioning coordination, punch lists, and final turnover.
• Communicate field progress and risks clearly to project leadership and owner representatives.
• Mentor assistant superintendents and maintain accountability throughout the field team.
