Bernards is seeking a Senior Superintendent to manage all field operations from preconstruction through closeout on complex projects. You will lead preconstruction activities including constructability reviews, value engineering, and scheduling, then oversee site safety, subcontractor coordination, procurement, QA/QC, and project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CM/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of construction project management experience.
• DSA/Public Works experience required.
• Projects range from $20M-$150M.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with team, partners, and clients.
• Strong time management and prioritization.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• PRECONSTRUCTION: Assist in estimating, budgeting, constructability reviews, value engineering, and preliminary schedules.
• CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Understand and enforce all contract documents and agreements.
• SAFETY: Ensure site safety and IIPP compliance.
• FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Present major issues to upper management and maximize project fee or minimize losses.
• RISK MANAGEMENT: Ensure proper insurance and compliance with risk policies.
• QA/QC: Adhere to QMM policies and procedures.
• SCHEDULING: Create and update initial baseline schedule and subsequent schedules.
• DOCUMENT CONTROL: Enforce document control processes.
• FIELD MANAGEMENT: Lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure OSHA compliance.
• PUNCHLIST: Manage timely punch list processes.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
