Job summary

RADERMCCARY INC is seeking a Senior Superintendent for a Midland, TX project, onsite for about 18 months. You will supervise daily on-site activities, coordinate with the Project Manager and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely progress.

Requirements include 7+ years of supervisory experience on commercial construction and experience on large manufacturing projects ($50M+). Proficiency with Procore, Excel, Word, Outlook, Box and Bluebeam is expected.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Estimating and Project Management to supervise, direct and coordinate management of construction projects, including liaison with owner, designers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate work of all subcontractors onsite and inspections required by the Municipality.
• Be the primary person on site responsible for safety, including implementing site-specific health and safety plans and company safety rules.
• Review project scope/plans, specifications, schedule, budget, contract documents, and deliverables; track equipment and labor cost.
• Plan daily crew work schedule, review and approve crew time-sheets and expense reports.
• Procure tools and materials needed for the project to ensure availability according to the work schedule.
• Assist in operating one or several types of power construction equipment.

Job description

The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day activities on-site with regard to project scope of scheduling, manpower, and budget. This role is for a project in Midland, TX and will be based there for approximately 18 months. This role works closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors to ensure quality work performed timely and safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Partners with Estimating and Project Management to supervise, direct and coordinate management of construction projects, including direct liaison with owner, designers and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the job.
• Coordinate work of all subcontractors onsite as well as inspections required by the Municipality the project is in.
• Be the primary person on site responsible for safety, including implementing site specific health and safety plans, and company safety rules and policies.
• Review project scope/plans, specifications, schedule, budget, contract documents, and deliverables. Also, track equipment and labor cost.
• Plan daily crew work schedule, review and approve crew time-sheets and expense reports.
• Procures tools and materials needed for the project to ensure availability according to the work schedule.
• Assists in operating one or several types of power construction equipment, such as excavators, graders, rough terrain extended boom forklifts, dozers, scrapers, back hoe, tractors, or loaders.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of supervisory experience on commercial construction projects required
• Experience on large manufacturing projects ($50+MM) required
• Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of commercial construction.
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines
• Working knowledge of computer programs including Procore, Excel, Word, Outlook, Box, Bluebeam and PDF Viewers.
• Proven track record of successful projects as a superintendent or foreman.
• Effective organizational as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required
• Meet physical requirements for driving, lifting and carrying equipment/mechanical components (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), carrying and climbing ladders, operating and working from man lifts, operating electric tools, (drills, saws, etc.), using hand tools, (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.), and providing services under various weather conditions.
