Brodson Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on high-end projects across South Florida and beyond. You will oversee crews, safety, scheduling, quality, and subcontractor coordination to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years of GC superintendent experience, restaurant build-out experience, OSHA 30, and strong leadership. You will work with Project Managers, architects, and inspectors to maintain Brodson's standards and client

Brodson Construction, Inc. is a boutique construction company with over 30 years of experience in general contracting and construction management, specializing in high-end residential, hospitality, retail, and other exceptional projects.

As a Senior Superintendent at Brodson, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional construction projects for discerning clientele throughout South Florida and across the United States.

The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the successful execution of all field operations on assigned projects, ensuring that construction is performed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to Brodson's high standards of quality. This position requires strong leadership, extensive construction knowledge, and the ability to proactively manage subcontractors, coordinate complex construction activities, and resolve field challenges.

The Senior Superintendent serves as the primary leader on the jobsite, working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and company leadership to ensure successful project delivery.

We have projects throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Senior Superintendents' work locations will vary based on assigned projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Project Execution

• Lead all day-to-day field operations, maintaining accountability for project safety, schedule, quality, and overall jobsite performance.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements.
• Establish clear expectations for subcontractor performance and proactively address deficiencies, delays, and coordination issues.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and execute comprehensive construction plans, schedules, and project milestones.
• Anticipate construction challenges, identify potential conflicts, and implement solutions before they impact project progress.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and productive jobsite that reflects Brodson's standards.

Scheduling & Subcontractor Coordination

• Take ownership of the field schedule, ensuring that construction activities are properly sequenced and subcontractors are meeting their commitments.
• Develop and maintain detailed weekly and multi-week look-ahead schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Conduct regular subcontractor coordination meetings to communicate priorities, upcoming activities, and schedule changes.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower, productivity, and progress to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to meet project milestones.
• Identify schedule delays and develop recovery plans in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate long-lead materials, deliveries, equipment, and other jobsite logistics to prevent disruptions to construction activities.
• Ensure subcontractors understand and adhere to project schedules, approved scopes of work, and change order procedures.

Quality Control & Construction Oversight

• Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and construction quality throughout every phase of the project.
• Continuously inspect subcontractor work to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, building codes, and Brodson's quality expectations.
• Identify deficiencies as work progresses and issue corrective action or punch lists to subcontractors for immediate resolution.
• Document subcontractor performance issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions in daily reports.
• Verify field conditions, dimensions, layouts, and construction details against approved documents, coordinating discrepancies with the Project Manager and design team.
• Ensure work is properly inspected and approved before subsequent construction activities proceed.
• Proactively identify constructability issues and coordinate solutions with architects, engineers, consultants, and the Project Manager.
• Manage quality control throughout construction rather than relying solely on final project punch lists.

Jobsite Management & Safety

• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, secure, and organized jobsite in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
• Manage jobsite logistics, including material deliveries, storage, equipment, access, site security, and general conditions.
• Coordinate required inspections and maintain effective relationships with inspectors and municipal representatives.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable building department requirements, inspection procedures, and permitting obligations.
• Ensure proper protection of completed work, existing structures, surrounding properties, and client assets.
• Maintain accurate permit and inspection logs to support timely project completion and closeout.

Project Documentation & Communication

• Prepare and distribute accurate daily field reports documenting manpower, subcontractor activities, work completed, deliveries, inspections, delays, and outstanding issues.
• Maintain weekly look-ahead schedules and communicate project progress and potential challenges to the Project Manager and company leadership.
• Utilize Procore to maintain project documentation, daily reports, RFIs, submittals, drawings, schedules, observations, and punch lists.
• Ensure field teams are working from the most current approved construction documents.
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, subcontractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, clients, and company leadership.
• Escalate critical schedule, budget, safety, or quality concerns promptly, along with proposed solutions.

Project Completion & Closeout

• Lead field efforts to complete all project punch list items accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate final inspections, testing, commissioning, and other activities required for project completion.
• Ensure all outstanding deficiencies are resolved prior to final turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractor closeout and warranty-related corrections as necessary.
• Oversee jobsite demobilization, ensuring the project is delivered clean, complete, and ready for client occupancy or use.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supervising complex construction projects from mobilization through completion.
• Demonstrated experience in high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, or similarly demanding construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building systems, materials, and quality standards.
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and field teams while maintaining accountability for schedule and workmanship.
• Experience managing complex construction schedules and coordinating multiple trades simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, permitting, and inspection requirements.
• Proficiency in Procore and construction scheduling software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to anticipate challenges, make sound field decisions, and maintain project momentum.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Work Schedule

Standard working hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. However, the Senior Superintendent is responsible for the overall schedule and progress of assigned projects. This position may require night shifts, off-hour work, and weekend work as necessary to meet project requirements.
