Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction in Miami is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead daily field operations, ensuring safety, quality and timely progress on upcoming 2026 projects.

You will work in partnership with the PM, manage multiple trades, and drive site logistics with a focus on cost and schedule adherence. A minimum of 10 years as a Project Superintendent is required; bilingual candidates are a plus. The Miami base salary ranges from $125,000 to $225,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Superintendent at a general contractor.
• Experience managing field personnel and trades with strong communication skills.
• Experience with large commercial ground-up projects and full site work packages.
• Experience with complex, fast-paced, high-visibility projects; bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations to ensure safety, construction quality, progress, and a clean site.
• Develop understanding of project strategy, commitments, financial goals, scheduling, logistics, milestones and inspections.
• Maintain an updated project schedule with PM to reflect status and meet cost and time requirements.
• Foster open dialogue with the project team on changes, subcontractor relations and deviations from plan.
• Promote positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors and instill this in the team.

• Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site
• Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections
• Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project
• Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project
• Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Superintendent at a general contractor
• Experience in managing field personnel and all trades on site with great communication skills as well as the training, developing and mentoring of others
• Types of projects should include large commercial out of the ground work with a complete understanding of full site work package, and high-level finishes.
• Experience with complex and logistically challenging, fast paced and high visibility projects is required.
• Bi-lingual a plus!

Salary Range Information

Miami Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $225,000 The range stated is specific to Miami. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
