Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced senior construction leader for a permanent, on-site role in Andover, MA. You will lead all field activities, manage schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders on dense urban projects, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial construction with strong leadership and communication skills, plus OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred) and CSL licensing expectations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction with progressive field leadership responsibilities.
• Experience delivering projects in dense urban environments with tight site logistics.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale ground-up and complex renovation projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities and serve as the primary field representative on assigned projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Management team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, safety, productivity, and adherence to contract documents.
• Identify and resolve construction challenges, schedule impacts, and field conflicts.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure OSHA and project-specific safety compliance.
• Lead subcontractor, safety, and coordination meetings.
• Review construction documents and drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project logistics, site access, material deliveries, and workforce planning.
• Oversee punch list, turnover, and closeout activities.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and Field Engineers.

• Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges, schedule impacts, and field conflicts.


• Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.


• Facilitate and lead subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and coordination meetings.


• Review construction documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.


• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.


• Manage project logistics, site access, material deliveries, and workforce planning.


• Oversee punch list completion, project turnover, and closeout activities.


• Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated success delivering projects within dense urban environments, including occupied neighborhoods, tight site logistics, restricted access conditions, and coordination with local municipalities and stakeholders.


• Experience managing multifamily, mixed-use, podium, and other complex ground-up projects in urban settings.


• Ability to proactively plan and execute construction activities while minimizing impacts to surrounding businesses, residents, and public infrastructure.


• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction with progressive field leadership responsibilities.


• Proven experience managing large-scale ground-up and/or complex renovation projects.


• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.


• Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.

OSHA 10 Certification Required (OSHA 30 Preferred)

Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) required.

Pay And Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
