Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a seasoned SUE Project Manager to lead utility investigations across transportation and infrastructure projects. You will own projects from proposal through final deliverables, mentoring staff, shaping workflows, and serving as the technical contact for clients and design partners.

The role requires PE/PLS and experience with DOT or municipal projects, Microstation ORD, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Professional engineer (PE) or professional land surveyor (PLS) license is required.
• Experience leading SUE projects and teams.
• Knowledge of ASCE 38 standards (Quality Levels A-D).
• Experience with proposals, client presentations, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Lead SUE projects end-to-end, including scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Mentor staff and oversee field crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with engineers, survey teams and utility owners.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure deliverables meet ASCE 38 standards.
