KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking a Surveying - Level 5 SUE Project Manager with 8-15 years of experience to lead field-based SUE investigations and oversee utility designation and mapping efforts. This role requires coordinating with project managers, engineers, and contractors while ensuring ASCE 38-22 compliance and high-quality documentation.

The position involves heavy field work, outdoor environments, travel to sites, and occasional night shifts.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years in SUE, utility locating, or surveying/mapping.
• Experience operating GPR and electromagnetic locating equipment.
• Valid driver7s license with clean driving record.
• Strong leadership and field coordination experience.

Aufgaben

• Lead and supervise SUE field crews performing utility designation and mapping.
• Operate advanced utility detection equipment including EM locators, GPR, GPS/Total Station.
• Interpret utility records, plans, and GIS data prior to field investigation.
• Ensure accurate field documentation including sketches and data collection.
• Coordinate with project managers, survey/sue teams, engineers, and contractors.
• Conduct quality assurance to ensure ASCE 38-22 compliance.
• Manage daily crew activities including safety briefings and scheduling.
• Train and mentor junior staff (SUE Assistants and Tech Level II/III).
• Maintain project productivity while ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Communicate field findings and potential conflicts to project stakeholders.
