Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Subsystem Integration Engineer – Mechanical to lead rotor or tower sub-system integration and own design integrity from concept to operation. You will guide technical definition, quality, and program execution while supporting continuous improvement in development processes and field issue resolution.

The role requires strong system design skills, collaboration with global teams, and deep knowledge of wind turbine components and integration practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of systems engineering experience on wind turbine projects (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide system engineering expertise through all phases of product development, from requirements definition through validation, procurement, manufacturing and lifecycle support.
• Lead or oversee subsystem conceptual design studies and trade-offs addressing CTQs such as cost, performance, reliability and operability.
• Define subsystem architecture and manage interfaces; approve system-level requirements and design memos.
• Communicate technical material to internal and external audiences; present analysis and recommendations.
• Drive subsystem problem solving, verification, validation and risk mitigation activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure subsystem development and BOM release; drive continuous improvement.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Subsystem Integration Engineer – Mechanical will lead technical development and implementation of Rotor or Tower Sub-System Level integration within the Mechanical Sub-System team. They are the first point of contact for technical definition, design integrity, validation, subsystem quality, and deliverable status. The engineer will provide technical guidance and team leadership/coordination on product definition and program execution from concept through operation, as well as contributing to continuous improvement in product development processes such as RCA, SAFER, and field issue resolution.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide system expertise through all phases of product development, from requirements definition through design and development, validation, procurement, manufacturing, and product life-cycle support.
• Lead and/or oversee sub-system conceptual design studies and trade-offs that address product CTQs (critical to quality) such as cost, performance, reliability & operability
• Define subsystem architecture and manage interfaces of the subsystem.
• Contribute to and approve system level requirements and DMs (design memo) as well as customer facing technical documents and flow those requirements through the subsystem to the components.
• Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences.
• Lead subsystem problem solving, verification, validation and risk mitigation activities.
• Coordinate and align efforts from cross functional teams both internally and externally to ensure the subsystem development and BOM (bill of materials) release.
• Drive continuous improvement by establishing design strategies, contributing to multi-generation system and technology plans, and managing lessons learned and sick parts.
• Drive simplification and standardization best practices into product structure, engineering analysis, validation, and program execution.
• Drive subsystem quality by supporting field and factory quality issues and cases.
• Undertake complex assignments with long-term business implications, impacting the products’ technical success.
• Understand and communicate execution status of subsystem technical milestones aligned with the schedule to support the business.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering.
• 6+ years relevant experience working on Systems engineering projects, issues and/or technologies (Wind Turbine Experience preferred)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.This posting is expected to remain open for at least seven days after it was posted on September 23, 2026.
