Job summary
LinxonAmericas in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Subject Matter Expert, Secondary Engineering, to lead and execute control, protection, SCADA, and substation automation across AIS, GIS, BESS, Rails, Data Centers, and Wind projects. You will collaborate with Project Lead Engineers and report to the Engineering Manager to ensure technical excellence and customer trust.
The role offers growth toward Lead Engineer or Team Leader within 3–5 years, with hybrid work and regional responsibilities across
Qualifications
- Exposure to ETAP and SEL tools.
- Strong CAD skills with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid understanding of power systems in substation environments.
- P.Eng. certification.
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years or Master's with 3+ years.
Responsibilities
- Lead secondary engineering for AIS/GIS, BESS, Rail, Data Center, and Wind projects delivering safe, reliable substations.
- Develop specifications, BOMs, and coordinated designs to streamline procurement and construction.
- Resolve vendor bid and design issues to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions.
- Provide expert protection, control, SCADA, and automation guidance to improve system performance.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and project teams to resolve technical challenges quickly.
- Review designs, support testing, and uphold quality for construction-ready deliverables.
