Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a substation senior engineer to lead the configuration and production of engineering drawings for electro‑mechanical and microprocessor protection relay systems in high voltage substations in Ontario, CA.

You will guide design teams through concept, preliminary and final design for 4.16 kV through 500 kV projects. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a BSEE or MSEE, and strong team leadership and communication skills; occasional travel

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE required with power engineering focus.
• 5+ years of experience designing and producing substation protection drawings.
• Proven team leadership and strong communication skills.
• Willingness for occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Configure and produce engineering drawings for protection relay systems in HV substations.
• Develop one-line, three-line, schematic and wiring diagrams.
• Lead and mentor junior staff in design tasks.
• Collaborate with design teams across project stages.
