Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead and execute complex substation projects near the Fort Wayne, IN area. Responsibilities include detailed design, reviews of civil/structural and P&C drawings, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Ideal candidates will have 6–10 years of substation experience, PE licensure or near-term licensure, ABET-accredited degree, and the ability to travel up to 15% within the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer licensure required or obtainable within the next year.
• 6–10 years of substation engineering experience, preferably at an engineering consulting firm.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% within the continental U.S.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex substation projects from scope through commissioning.
• Review and produce physical design drawings (GA, elevations, grounding plans, conduit plans).
• Perform grounding, lightning, battery sizing, conduit fill, and substation sizing calculations.
• Design protection and control, including one-line diagrams and switchgear.
• Collaborate with civil/structural, protection and controls teams and automation.
• Conduct site visits, scoping meetings, and project budgeting/forecasting.
