Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to lead complex substation projects near Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves reviews of civil/structural, physical, or P&C design drawings and guiding junior engineers. Travel up to 15% within the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent.
• Registration as a professional engineer, by examination, is required.
• 6 - 10 years of substation engineering experience, preferably at an engineering consulting firm.
• Unquestioned business and personal integrity.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% when needed within the continental U.S.
• Must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions.
• Professional Engineer licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex substation projects from estimating and proposals through design, procurement, and construction support.
• Review and produce physical design drawings such as General Arrangement, Elevations, Grounding Plans, and Conduit Plans.
• Perform grounding, lightning protection, conduit fill, and sizing calculations and substation studies.
• Design protection and control schematics, one-line diagrams, and control panel elevations.
• Coordinate with civil/structural, protection and controls, and automation teams; conduct site visits and scoping meetings.
