Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking an Engineering Senior Manager for Substation Electrical Engineering. You will lead a geographically diverse team responsible for the electrical engineering and design of 300+ substation capital projects annually within SCE’s service territory.

In this role within Transmission & Substation Engineering, you will set strategic direction, champion IDC, and advance safety, digital innovation, and operational performance across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Five or more years supervising a team and/or project management.
• Experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; PE license preferred.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible engineering, utility, infrastructure, or capital project delivery experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading substation engineering, transmission engineering, or complex utility programs.
• Proven ability to deliver safe, high-quality, and predictable execution including productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a geographically diverse engineering organization across four regions.
• Manage and prioritize the engineering roadmap in collaboration with other departments; improve execution efficiency.
• Direct the project engineering group and ensure on-time, within-scope, on-budget delivery of capital projects.
• Oversee resource allocation, risk assessment, budgets, and project plans for capital initiatives.
• Drive digitalization and automation to improve engineering processes and outcomes.
