Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking an Engineering Senior Manager for Substation Electrical Engineering to lead a geographically diverse organization responsible for 300+ substation capital projects annually.

In this hybrid role, you will set strategic direction, drive IDC initiatives, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while advancing grid modernization and wildfire mitigation across California.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience supervising a team and/or managing projects.
• Experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Leads engineering and business initiatives to develop grid strategies and determine planning, design, operation and maintenance.
• Manages and prioritizes the engineering roadmap and improves execution efficiency.
• Leads and supports the project engineering group and ensures delivery of capital projects on time and within budget.
• Oversees resource allocation, risk assessment, budgets, and project plans for timely delivery of goals.
• Drives adoption of digitalization and automation to improve processes and outcomes.
• Develops risk management strategies and translates corporate strategy into actionable initiatives.
