Xcel Energy is seeking a highly experienced senior engineer to serve as a technical SME across advanced projects. You will lead complex research, develop standards, and provide strategic technical guidance to management and customers.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership on multiple critical projects, including design, installation, and commissioning activities. PE preferred; energy sector experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum or recognized equivalency.
• 9+ years of engineering experience with PE registration required, or 15+ years without PE.
• Ability to demonstrate the unique technical skills and core competencies for this level.

Responsibilities

• Applies extensive technical expertise and understands related disciplines.
• Conceives plans and conducts research to develop procedures, codes and standards.
• Exercises technical leadership on self-initiated assignments with long-term business impact.
• Leads multiple critical and/or complex projects including design, installation, and evaluation of work progress.
