Job description

master's degree preferred.* 5+ years in substation design, construction, or maintenance or equivalent design experience.* Solid understanding of power systems, including transmission, distribution, and generation.* Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ETAP, SKM, or PSS/E for power system analysis.* Familiarity with protection relay programming, coordination studies, grounding studies, and simulation software (e.g., SEL, CDEGS, GE Enervista) a plus.* Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes, such as IEEE, ANSI, and NESC.* Proficient technical skills in substation layout, equipment sizing, and protection coordination.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment (local and remote).* Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality.* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.* Willingness to pursue licensure is a plus.SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry.
