Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Substation Designer to deliver Protection & Control (P&C) and Physical Design packages for electrical utility, industrial, and data center substation projects. You will lead design efforts from conceptual engineering through construction support and commissioning.

You will mentor junior designers, coordinate with engineers, project managers, clients and contractors, and ensure design quality and compliance with client standards and industry codes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related discipline required.
• Minimum 12 years of substation design experience.
• Experience with P&C and Physical Design for AIS and GIS substations.
• Experience with 12 kV through 500 kV projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain P&C and physical design packages for utility and industrial substations.
• Prepare wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and relay panel arrangements.
• Develop bills of materials and coordinate project documentation.
