Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking a Senior Physical Electrical Engineer in Orlando to lead the growth of our medium- and high-voltage substation design practice. You will mentor a high-performing team and guide projects for utilities, government entities, and private institutions.

The role involves technical and strategic leadership in equipment layouts, grounding, conduit systems, and lightning protection, plus overseeing construction drawing packages and multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering.
• A PE licensure is required.
• 20+ years of experience in medium/high voltage substation design.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with Exelon, National Grid, PSE&G, ConEd preferred.
• Solid knowledge of NEC, NFPA Life Safety Codes and related standards.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to develop and capture new business opportunities.
• Coordinate with Energy PMO leadership and energy client managers.
• Develop responses to RFIs/RFPs and qualifications, including cost proposals.
• Serve as Project Manager for complex, high-volume projects.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and coordinate with other offices.
• Manage project financials and cash flow.
• Provide training and mentoring for staff.
• Oversee deliverables, QC reviews and adherence to QMS.
