Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Substation Construction Lead based in Florida. The role oversees substation construction, manages contractors, and coordinates outages and material logistics to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, project controls, and collaboration across PGD, E&C, and Co-ops, while ensuring As-Built deliverables and system updates. A foundation in electrical/substation construction and 10+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• Experience: 10+ years
• Bachelor's - Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of Construction Leads.
• Collaborates with departments to resolve project conflicts, generate work scope, timetables and resource estimation.
• Coordinates and supervises emergency response events.
• Mentors and trains new employees and contract personnel.
• Oversees complex projects and emergency response activities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
