Job summary

NextEra Energy in Florida seeks a Substation Construction Lead based in Lake Park or Fort Pierce to oversee contractors, coordinate clearance planning, manage materials, and ensure safe, compliant project delivery for transmission substations.

You will mentor construction leads, review constructability, support cross‑functional interfaces with PGD, E&C, and co‑ops, and deliver accurate As‑Built documents and project controls using SAP and related systems.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in substation construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of Construction Leads and oversee substation projects.
• Coordinate clearance planning and outage requests to enable execution.
• Develop contingency plans and assess project risks for cost control.
• Manage materials (BOM, ROS, MRM) and liaise with vendors and ISC.
• Review projects for constructability and ensure accurate deliverables.
