Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an experienced Substation Commissioning Lead to verify transmission equipment commissioning in line with project specifications and design feasibility. You will provide functional direction to technicians and craft on staff and act as SME for protection systems.

You will manage detailed commissioning schedules, review test plans and results, and ensure timely turnover to clients.

Formación

• OSHA 10 Hour Training is required.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, driving record).
• NICET/NETA certification preferred; startup experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Participates in preparation and maintenance of a detailed commissioning schedule.
• Plans commissioning activities and major milestones.
• Acts as an Independent Resource not involved in construction.
• Executes commissioning to ensure compliance with specifications and contracts.
• Performs thorough system walk-downs to verify completion.
• Provides SME guidance in protection system design, settings, and testing.
• Oversees commissioning, reviews documentation, and provides technical support.
• Reviews relay test plans and results; approves tests.
• Reviews AC Acceptance (Load Check) and verifies proper phasing.
• Provides post-commissioning review of documentation within two weeks.
• Maintains SWMS inventory and configuration validation.
• Adheres to safety and quality standards; supports continuous improvement.
