Job summary

Distinction, LLC is seeking a SR. TEAP Specialist at the St. Louis Job Corps Center to lead the Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Prevention/Intervention Program.

You will work with Health Services, Mental Health, medical staff, centre leadership, and community partners to help students address substance use concerns and make healthier choices. The role involves developing and coordinating prevention programs, educating staff and students, and monitoring progress while maintaining confidential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Active, unrestricted substance abuse license/certification per Missouri requirements.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coordinating substance use prevention and intervention programs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The SR TEAP Specialist reports to the Health and Wellness Manager and leads the centre's Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Prevention/Intervention Program.

You’ll work with Health Services, Mental Health, medical staff, centre leadership, and community partners to help students address substance use concerns, make healthier choices, and stay focused on their goals.

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Active, unrestricted substance abuse license/certification meeting Missouri requirements.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience working with at-promise or underserved youth.
• Residential youth experience.
• Experience in substance use prevention, counseling, intervention, or referrals.

MISSOURI CERTIFICATION

• Don’t have your MAADC yet? You may still qualify!
• Certification eligibility depends on your education and experience. Candidates may qualify through several Missouri pathways, including those based on a:
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Associate's degree/addiction certification
• High school diploma/HSE with applicable education and experience

Additional requirements may include addiction education, ethics training, supervised experience, mentoring, and practicum hours.
