Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field.
• Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification.
• State certification in alcohol and drug counseling.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and coordinates substance use prevention/intervention programs with Health Services staff.
• Coordinates programs to reduce and eliminate substance use and abuse.
• Conducts in-service training sessions for staff and students on substance use and abuse.
• Submits recommendations to Academy Director regarding medical terminations related to substance misuse in conjunction with medical staff.
• Acts as liaison between center and agency resource contacts.
• Monitors behavior and progress of students involved in the program.
• Maintains confidential reports and records on referrals and cases.
• Prepares and submits required reports.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field
