Job summary

Casa Esperanza in Massachusetts is seeking an ATS/CSS Counselor to join the Conexiones program on site at Tewksbury. You’ll provide integrated care, education, counseling, and relapse prevention services to individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Join a multidisciplinary team at Casa Esperanza to deliver culturally responsive care, coordinate care across programs, and support clients from withdrawal management through stabilization and transition to community-based care.

Qualifications

• Substance use treatment credentials and relevant degree are required.
• Minimum 5 years of substance use therapy experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet new clients and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Establish orientation, session and follow-up appointments with patients.
• Act as primary counselor and point of contact for internal and external collaborators.
• Provide high-quality, culturally responsive care in a trauma-informed setting.
• Complete assessments utilizing ASAM criteria and plan treatment levels.
• Conduct substance use screening and overdose assessments.
• Enter client data into records and maintain documentation per policy.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; communicate professionally with team.

Substance Abuse Counseling Certificate Program or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field

CAC, CADC, LADC, or LADC-II
