Job summary

Casa Esperanza, Inc. is seeking an ATS/CSS Counselor for the Conexiones program in Te wksbury, MA. The role provides integrated treatment services from withdrawal management through clinical stabilization and ongoing community care coordination.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, facilitating groups, delivering culturally responsive care, and coordinating with internal teams and external providers to ensure comprehensive wrap-around support for clients with co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

• Substance Abuse Counseling Certificate Program or a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field and experience in substance use treatment.
• CAC, CADC, LADC, or LADC-II (required)
• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years working in a substance use therapy program
• Must demonstrate ability to relate to a substance use treatment population in a sensitive manner and work in a multicultural setting
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Greet new clients and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Establish orientation, session and follow-up appointments
• Act as primary counselor and point of contact for internal/external collaborators
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care in a culturally responsive manner
• Complete assessments using ASAM criteria to determine appropriate levels of treatment
• Conduct substance use screening and overdose assessment
• Interviews clients and confers with other professionals to evaluate client condition
• Facilitate clinical sessions and treatment planning
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
