Job summary

PE Systems, Inc. in Pearl Harbor, HI seeks an Operations Analyst to design, observe, reconstruct, analyze, and report on submarine tactical development exercises in support of UWDC.

The role requires a BA in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering with in-field submarine operations analysis experience; a Master’s is a plus. A Top-Secret clearance is required, with occasional travel and submarine riding as part of duties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering with in-field experience in quantitative submarine operations analysis.
• Master's degree (MA/MS) is a plus.
• Prefer previous experience as Submarine Officer (1120) or Squadron staff served Sonar Technician.
• In-depth knowledge of submarine tactical doctrine related to search, approach, tracking, and attack.
• Knowledge of submarine sensors, weapons, and combat systems (AN/BQQ-10, TI/APBs, Advanced Towed Arrays, AN/BYG-1, STDA/PCIMAT, MK-48 ADCAP).
• Skilled in reconstructing ship tracks and correlating operational data with incomplete data.
• Experience drafting technical reports and briefing materials.
• Capable of riding exercise submarines as at-sea test director/observer.
• Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret government security clearance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exercise design, planning, and coordination with USN representatives.
• Collect data and reconstruct exercises.
• Analyze submarine exercises and real-world operations.
• Write reports and briefs on submarine tactics.
• Present technical results to Navy and civilian organizations.
• Ride submarines for short periods to observe exercises.
• Establish professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Follow corporate policies and directives.
• Attend work hours as scheduled; travel to sites as required.
• Work flexible hours including overtime.
