BMT Canada seeks a Senior Submarine Engineering Lead to drive the full submarine lifecycle from design to deployment, coordinating a team of engineers and technologists across Canada and overseas sites.

You will manage technical risks, engage with clients, and ensure delivery in line with project statements of work and BMT quality procedures, while fostering operational and technical excellence within the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in a Marine Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
• Eligible for a Canadian security clearance.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a marine engineering environment.
• Minimum 5 years in submarine engineering across full lifecycle.
• Experience with complex maritime design programs.
• Experience in systems integration, submarine construction or repair.

Responsabilités

• Program delivery: identify technical and program risks; participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Client engagement: review briefs and deliver presentations; interact with clients to understand needs.
• Technical assurance and quality: provide engineering design advice; ensure work follows scope and quality procedures.
• Team leadership: guide the International Submarine program objectives; foster excellence and staff development.
