Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME I) to join the NASA CPSS II team at the NASA Ames Research Center in California. The role focuses on developing, managing, and optimizing project schedules in line with the NASA Schedule Management Handbook, supporting Artemis missions.

You will lead and mentor project teams, provide expert guidance, and collaborate with government customers and stakeholders to ensure schedule integrity across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, project planning, and requirements management.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex assignments with broad impact.
  • Experience communicating with executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME in programmatic disciplines and provide expert guidance.
  • Lead development and optimization of project schedules per NASA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with government customers, industry partners, and teams.
  • Develop reports, briefings, and documentation for leadership.
  • Mentor teams and contribute to continuous process improvement.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and implement practical solutions.
