Job summary

Saab is seeking an experienced Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team handling high-value procurements and complex supplier agreements. You will oversee the full subcontract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, DoD and FAA requirements, while guiding risk management and strategic sourcing.

The role is based at Saab, Inc.'s headquarters in East Syracuse, NY, or at other U.S. offices; travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering-General or related field.
10+ years of Supply Chain, Logistics, Contracts and Material Management experience (or 7+ years with a Master's).
Leadership experience over Subcontracts, Proposal, Buying and Planning teams.
Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA).
Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Contract negotiation experience for large DoD subcontracts.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Subcontracts team across programs and proposals.
Oversee development, negotiation, and administration of complex subcontracts and supplier agreements.
Ensure compliance with U.S. Government requirements including FAR/DFARS and Saab policies.
Provide SME guidance on subcontracting issues, risk evaluation, and decision making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with program goals.
Support audits, policy development, and continuous improvement across supply chain.
