Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, MD seeks a Manager Subcontracts 1 to lead a seven‑person procurement team. You will be the focal point for all subcontract activity, negotiating terms and coordinating with legal and contracts.

The role requires a Bachelor's with 5+ years in related fields or a Master’s with 3+ years, and US citizenship. Travel about 10% and a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off are part of the arrangement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years in Subcontracts Management, Procurement, Program Management, Contracts Management or Business Management.
Master's Degree with a minimum of 3 years Subcontracts Management, Procurement, Program Management, Contracts Management or Business Management.
High School Diploma with a minimum of 9 years combined experience in Subcontracts/Procurement/Program Management/Contracts/Business Management.

Responsibilities

Lead a Subcontracts Team of about seven procurement professionals and act as main focal point for all procurement/subcontract activities.
Negotiate, interpret and implement contract terms and requirements as SME for acquisition activities.
Research and analyze risks related to suppliers and advise management.
Close knowledge gaps by creating trainings on compliance areas for Subcontract Specialists.
