Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Canoga Park, CA is seeking a Lead Subcontracts (Buyer) to drive procurement of critical materials and services, negotiate with suppliers, and manage subcontract awards through to delivery, while ensuring compliance with FAR and internal policies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with extensive subcontracts experience, with higher qualifications preferred, and offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior subcontracts experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior subcontracts experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior subcontracts experience.

Responsibilities

• Procure critical path components and services, manage subcontracts.
• Lead supplier selection, cost/price analysis, fact finding and formal negotiations.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met and follow up with suppliers.
• Review terms and conditions modifications, and review of agreements such as End User License Agreements.
• Maintain documentation control in compliance with FAR regulations and company procedures.
• Participate in company and departmental improvement initiatives.
