Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Senior Specialist, Subcontracts to manage the full lifecycle of subcontracting activities. The role involves sourcing strategies, SOW development, negotiations, and ensuring compliance across multiple customer segments.

You will work with diverse teams to align cost, schedule, and technical performance, while maintaining risk controls and supporting audits. Strong communication and document management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Total relevant professional experience to be minimum of 6 years in Procurement and/or Subcontracts. Experience to be one or a combination of the following: Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Contracts, Procurement, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Legal and Government compliance, and/or Finance.
• 6 years of experience using MRP systems software.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, Excel (including pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.), PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of major subcontract execution (cost, schedule, technical, quality) and full integration of the subcontract work scope within the program, e.g. proposals, negotiations, contract execution.
• Review technical SOWs, understand work scope, and hold other functions accountable to provide clarity and eliminate ambiguity in SOW language and technical requirements.
• Explain and apply FAR/DFAR requirements, prime contract flow downs, ITAR/EAR/Export controls, and negotiations of legal documents and terms.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain Leadership to manage risks and improve KPIs.
• Support government, customer and internal audits as required.
