Precision Fuzing and Sensors seeks a Senior Subcontracts Administrator (Purchasing) in Middletown, CT. You will handle complex subcontract procurements, negotiate terms, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

The role requires a business-focused bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of related experience, with strong written and verbal communication and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business or related field.
• 7–10 years of related experience.
• Broad knowledge of procurement or contracts administration.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop subcontract specifications, work statements and terms and conditions; prepare bid packages and conduct bidder conferences.
• Negotiate complex subcontract provisions, including cost elements.
• Develop new suppliers, write awards, and administer subcontracts.
• Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or changes to subcontracts.
• Assist in development of subcontract policies and procedures.
• Maintain liaison with suppliers and internal departments on progress and schedules.
• Visit supplier facilities as necessary and use information systems to track orders.
• Provide documentation for government audits and identify corrective actions.
• Present findings to management and coach junior staff.
