Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston is seeking a Subcontract Formation Specialist to manage planning, formation, administration, and close-out of large, moderately complex subcontracts for a major energy project.

You will plan and manage bid solicitation, bidder prequalification, evaluation, negotiations, and contract close-out, coordinating with project teams to ensure compliant, timely subcontract delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, 9-12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Conforms and ensures subcontract execution.
• Directs negotiation in the commitment of subcontracts.
• Develops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assigned.
• Prepares bidders' lists and pre-qualifies bidders.
• Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders.
• Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially.
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations.
• Represents Bechtel in contractual discussions of advanced complexity.
