Job summary

CAE is seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator to support corporate objectives by managing subcontracting activities for defense and security programs. You will coordinate supplier/subcontractor performance, ensure contractual adherence, and maintain subcontract documentation under FAR/DFARS guidelines.

The role requires strong knowledge of procurement processes in the defense aerospace sector, CPSR readiness, and the ability to negotiate plans and awards while aligning with company

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a related field; nine years’ experience in subcontracts administration/management may substitute for degree.
• Understanding of program management budgeting and scheduling tools.
• In-depth understanding of the procurement process in the defense aerospace environment.
• Experience with FAR Part 15 cost/price analysis of supplier proposals, including schedule and technical changes.
• Ability to apply basic measurement standards to assess changes in performance.
• Experience with subcontract management and CPSR-compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue/execute subcontract plans, RFIs/RFPs, and awards to obtain goods and services for programs and objectives.
• Develop and manage subcontract evaluations, analysis, negotiation plans and documentation per FAR/DFARS and company policies.
• Implement compliant acquisition practices aligned with program and company objectives.
• Monitor, manage and control cost and performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Understand CAE subcontract products/services.
• Manage time and conflicting priorities to meet program and customer requirements.
